Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Anna Marks by Bernard Meninsky was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,242.80) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bernard Meninsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bathers in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Anna Marks von Bernard Meninsky wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.242,80) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Meninsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bathers im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76).
