This artwork by Berlinde de Bruyckere achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Romeu 'My Deer' sold for USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,961.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berlinde de Bruyckere achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Marthe in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 356,750.00 (€ 418,075.79).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Berlinde de Bruyckere erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Romeu 'My Deer' für USD 23.750,00 (€ 19.961,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berlinde de Bruyckere erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Marthe im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 356.750,00 (€ 418.075,79).
