In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included this untitled work by Beauford Delaney. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,900.00 (€ 69,032.37), 64% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beauford Delaney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Baldwin in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,026,000.00 (€ 1,195,278.64).

Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Beauford Delaney zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 69.032,37) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beauford Delaney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James Baldwin im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.000,00 (€ 1.195.278,64).
