Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Contemplative by Baltasar Lobo. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,800.00 (€ 43,004.80). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baltasar Lobo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pièce D'Eau in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 620,000.00 (€ 556,103.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Contemplative von Baltasar Lobo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.800,00 (€ 43.004,80) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baltasar Lobo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pièce D'Eau im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 620.000,00 (€ 556.103,69).
