Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Avery Preesman could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,208.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Avery Preesman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 10,625.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Avery Preesman konnte im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.208,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Avery Preesman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.625,00.
