Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Aref El Rayess. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 8,207.77), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aref El Rayess achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Aref El Rayess zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 8.207,77) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
