Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Labyrinths of the Millenium by Aref El Rayess was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. Here, the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68). Admittedly, works by Aref El Rayess have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 137,000.00 (€ 127,548.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Labyrinths of the Millenium von Aref El Rayess kam im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aref El Rayess auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jeddah (Al Shatek el Hadi) (The Calm Shore) im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.000,00 (€ 127.548,65).
