Lewis Collection auction, the work Approaching Night sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,257.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by April Gornik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Delicate Hour (For My Father), which sold at auction in March this year for USD 75,600.00 (€ 69,536.42).
