Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Laboratory III by Antonio Dias was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 6,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonio Dias achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Free Continent: Natural Richnesses in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 434,500.00 (€ 333,973.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Laboratory III von Antonio Dias im April 2013 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 6.250,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonio Dias erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Free Continent: Natural Richnesses im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 434.500,00 (€ 333.973,87).
