Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At the gateway by Antonie Waldorp was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2007. The price achieved of EUR 3,600.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonie Waldorp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 37,600.00.

Die Arbeit At the gateway von Antonie Waldorp kam im April 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.600,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.600,00.
