Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A crowded fishing barge tacking up a Dutch river estuary, probably the Scheldt by Antonie Waldorp was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in November 2008. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,022.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonie Waldorp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 37,600.00.

Die Arbeit A crowded fishing barge tacking up a Dutch river estuary, probably the Scheldt von Antonie Waldorp wurde im November 2008 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.022,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.600,00.
