Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations, which included the work Ships in a stiff breeze by Antonie Waldorp. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,250.00. Admittedly, works by Antonie Waldorp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 37,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now including Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ships in a stiff breeze von Antonie Waldorp zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.600,00.
