In September 2010 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations, which included the work Sailing through stormy weather by Antonie Waldorp. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,062.50 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antonie Waldorp achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 37,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im September 2010 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing through stormy weather von Antonie Waldorp zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.062,50 und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.600,00.
