Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A busy quay in a Dutch town by Antonie Waldorp was sold in the Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) auction at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2016. The price achieved of EUR 8,125.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Antonie Waldorp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background in October 2001 with an auction result of EUR 37,600.00.

Die Arbeit A busy quay in a Dutch town von Antonie Waldorp wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Old Masters & 19th Century Art - (including Dutch Impressionism) bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 8.125,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antonie Waldorp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A royal barge on a choppy river with slot Loevestein in the background im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.600,00.
