A top price for Antoine Claudet
In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Chess players by Antoine Claudet. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,659.74), 20% above the upper estimate. With this result, Chess players is even the most expensive work of art by Antoine Claudet that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Antoine Claudet
Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chess players von Antoine Claudet zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.659,74) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Chess players sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Antoine Claudet, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
