Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of a lady with a mirror, 1850s by Antoine Claudet was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2000. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 763.75 (€ 1,225.54). Admittedly, works by Antoine Claudet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chess players in May 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,780.00 (€ 6,659.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a lady with a mirror, 1850s von Antoine Claudet kam im Mai 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 763,75 (€ 1.225,54) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoine Claudet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chess players im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.780,00 (€ 6.659,74).
