In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Decorative, Modern & Contemporary Prints, which included the work Entrance to Dover Harbour (Herdman 4101) by Anthony Gross. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,126.17), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Gross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,380.46).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.380,46).
