Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Sortie d'Usine by Anthony Gross. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,708.10). Admittedly, works by Anthony Gross have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,380.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sortie d'Usine von Anthony Gross zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.708,10) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Gross auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 17.380,46).
