Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anthony Gross; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A large collection of etchings, circa 1955 to 1976, on wove and laid paper, each signed and titled in pencil, each with full margins, in varying conditions, most in excellent overall condition sold at auction in June 2008 with the realized price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 17,380.46).
