Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Anthony Devas could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work The Judgement of Paris; And Study of A Female Nude changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 174.77) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Devas konnte im März 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit The Judgement of Paris; And Study of A Female Nude für GBP 120,00 (€ 174,77) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
