Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of An Italian Model In Green by Anthony Devas was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 786.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of An Italian Model In Green von Anthony Devas kam im März 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 540,00 (€ 786,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
