Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Portrait of a lady in red by Anthony Devas. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 956.00 (€ 1,353.00), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Anthony Devas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of a lady in red von Anthony Devas zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 956,00 (€ 1.353,00) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Devas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
