This artwork by Anthony Devas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2005. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Estland Devas In Fancy Dress sold for GBP 1,680.00 (€ 2,446.75) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Devas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in January 2009 for GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Devas erzielte im März 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Estland Devas In Fancy Dress für GBP 1.680,00 (€ 2.446,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69) versteigert wurde.
