Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Yellow Meander by Anni Albers was worth USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,515.71) to a buyer in March 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Anni Albers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Second Movement I-VI in April this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,945.65).

Die Arbeit Yellow Meander von Anni Albers war einem Käufer im März 2021 USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.515,71) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anni Albers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Second Movement I-VI im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.945,65).
