Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2000 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Gnarled tree trunk) by Anne Brigman. The price achieved of USD 2,350.00 (€ 2,769.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Brigman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flame in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2000 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Gnarled tree trunk) von Anne Brigman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.350,00 (€ 2.769,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Brigman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
