Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Tree-Frog by Anne Brigman was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2000. The price achieved of USD 3,290.00 (€ 3,876.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anne Brigman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flame in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Tree-Frog von Anne Brigman wurde im Oktober 2000 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.290,00 (€ 3.876,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anne Brigman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
