Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anne Brigman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2000. In the Photographs auction, the work The Lone Pine sold for USD 9,400.00 (€ 11,077.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Anne Brigman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Flame sold at auction in April 2000 with the realized price of USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anne Brigman erzielte im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit The Lone Pine für USD 9.400,00 (€ 11.077,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Anne Brigman; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Flame im April 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34).
