Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sanctuary by Anne Brigman was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2000. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,640.00 (€ 6,646.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anne Brigman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flame, which sold at auction in April 2000 for USD 18,800.00 (€ 20,684.34).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.640,00 (€ 6.646,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Anne Brigman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flame beobachtet, die im April 2000 für USD 18.800,00 (€ 20.684,34) versteigert wurde.
