Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ann Hamilton could be acquired at Phillips in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,022.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Hamilton konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.022,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
