Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ann Hamilton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. In the Prints & Multiples Online auction, the work Wreathe sold for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,173.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Hamilton erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples Online wurde die Arbeit Wreathe für USD 3.500,00 (€ 3.173,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
