Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled #8-16 (From The Body Object Series) by Ann Hamilton for USD 17,640.00 (€ 14,663.34). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Ann Hamilton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled #8-16 (From The Body Object Series) von Ann Hamilton für USD 17.640,00 (€ 14.663,34) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
