Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled #2 (From The Body Object Series) by Ann Hamilton was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,163.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Hamilton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abc.Table in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 153,100.00 (€ 125,317.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled #2 (From The Body Object Series) von Ann Hamilton kam im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.163,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Hamilton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abc.Table im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 153.100,00 (€ 125.317,18).
