Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Parasite by Angelo Filomeno. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,457.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angelo Filomeno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venom, which sold at auction in February 2008 for GBP 30,500.00 (€ 39,892.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Parasite von Angelo Filomeno zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.457,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Angelo Filomeno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venom beobachtet, die im Februar 2008 für GBP 30.500,00 (€ 39.892,80) versteigert wurde.
