Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled (SK-VD) by Angel Otero. It changed hands for a price of USD 119,700.00 (€ 112,352.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angel Otero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figuring You Out, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (SK-VD) von Angel Otero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 112.352,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Angel Otero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figuring You Out beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61) versteigert wurde.
