Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction Disruptors: Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Design and Watches, which included the work Bayamón by Angel Otero. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,079,500.00 (€ 129,390.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Angel Otero - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figuring You Out, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 327,600.00 (€ 317,349.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion Disruptors: Evening Sale of 20th Century & Contemporary Art, Design and Watches durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bayamón von Angel Otero zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.079.500,00 (€ 129.390,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Angel Otero mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figuring You Out beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 327.600,00 (€ 317.349,61) versteigert wurde.
