Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Apple Orchard by Andrew Wyeth was sold in the Modern Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. It changed hands for a price of USD 119,700.00 (€ 111,545.99) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Wyeth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Day Dream in November last year with an auction result of USD 23,290,000.00 (€ 22,561,270.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Apple Orchard von Andrew Wyeth wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 119.700,00 (€ 111.545,99) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Andrew Wyeth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Day Dream im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.290.000,00 (€ 22.561.270,95).
