Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Islington Arts Factory, London by Andrew Grassie was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,086.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Andrew Grassie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Courtauld Institute in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Islington Arts Factory, London von Andrew Grassie wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.086,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Andrew Grassie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Courtauld Institute im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 67.000,00 (€ 43.059,13).
