Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Andrew Grassie could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Discoveries auction, the work The Geffen changed hands for GBP 2,016.00 (€ 2,371.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andrew Grassie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Courtauld Institute in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 67,000.00 (€ 43,059.13).
