In October 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Light Bulb 00030C by Amanda Means. The result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,151.54) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Amanda Means have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Light Bulb (008BYs) in May this year with an auction result of GBP 38,100.00 (€ 44,329.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light Bulb 00030C von Amanda Means zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.151,54) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Amanda Means auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Light Bulb (008BYs) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 38.100,00 (€ 44.329,60).
