Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Light Bulb 00032C by Amanda Means. The price achieved of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,088.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amanda Means - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Bulb (008BYs), which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 38,100.00 (€ 44,329.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light Bulb 00032C von Amanda Means zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.088,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Amanda Means mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Bulb (008BYs) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 38.100,00 (€ 44.329,60) versteigert wurde.
