Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2021 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Water Glass 3, (Variant 2) by Amanda Means. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,752.30). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Amanda Means - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light Bulb (008BYs), which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 38,100.00 (€ 44,329.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Water Glass 3, (Variant 2) von Amanda Means zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.752,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Amanda Means mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light Bulb (008BYs) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 38.100,00 (€ 44.329,60) versteigert wurde.
