Despite a disappointment, a good price for Alvin Booth
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled sequence of images from Corpus by Alvin Booth for USD 5,975.00 (€ 6,046.96). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Untitled sequence of images from Corpus is the most expensive artwork by Alvin Booth that we have observed at auction so far.
