Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alvin Booth achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2009. In the Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection Part II auction, the work Untitled images, 2000 sold for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,429.63) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alvin Booth; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled sequence of images from Corpus sold at auction in October 2002 with the realized price of USD 5,975.00 (€ 6,046.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alvin Booth erzielte im Februar 2009 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection Part II wurde die Arbeit Untitled images, 2000 für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.429,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Alvin Booth; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled sequence of images from Corpus im Oktober 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 5.975,00 (€ 6.046,96).
