Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three works: (i) Watertower; (ii) Watertower with Rectangles; (iii) Watertower with Target by Allan D'Arcangelo was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction at Phillips in New York in June 2021. The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,142.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allan D'Arcangelo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work U.S. Highway I, No. 4 in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 802,600.00 (€ 515,809.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three works: (i) Watertower; (ii) Watertower with Rectangles; (iii) Watertower with Target von Allan D'Arcangelo wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 19.142,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allan D'Arcangelo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit U.S. Highway I, No. 4 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 802.600,00 (€ 515.809,77).
