This work without title by Alfredo Castañeda was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2021. It achieved a price of USD 56,700.00 (€ 50,097.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 62%. Admittedly, works by Alfredo Castañeda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Nave (El Arca) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 265,440.01).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfredo Castañeda kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 56.700,00 (€ 50.097,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 62%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfredo Castañeda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Nave (El Arca) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 265.440,01).
