Sold at the lower estimate price
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work The Angular Note by Alfredo Castañeda. The result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 21,422.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Castañeda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Nave (El Arca) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 265,440.01).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Angular Note von Alfredo Castañeda zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 21.422,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Castañeda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Nave (El Arca) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 265.440,01).
