In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work To Save Your Place (Guardar Turno) by Alfredo Castañeda. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,938.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Castañeda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Nave (El Arca) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 265,440.01).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit To Save Your Place (Guardar Turno) von Alfredo Castañeda zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.938,83) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Castañeda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Nave (El Arca) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 265.440,01).
