The work Our Madness by Alfredo Castañeda was sold in the Latin American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in October last year. It achieved a price of USD 32,760.00 (€ 32,977.65), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Alfredo Castañeda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Nave (El Arca) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 265,440.01).

Die Arbeit Our Madness von Alfredo Castañeda wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 32.977,65) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfredo Castañeda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Nave (El Arca) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 265.440,01).
