This work without title by Alfred Leslie was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,245.95), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Leslie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana in April last year with an auction result of EUR 264,600.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Alfred Leslie kam im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.245,95) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Leslie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 264.600,00.
