This artwork by Alfred Leslie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Milan in April last year. In the Contemporary Auction auction, the work Diana sold for EUR 264,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00. This high result makes Diana the most expensive artwork by Alfred Leslie that we have observed at auctions so far.
